Frequently Asked Questions
Why cash-based? Is it worth it?
Cash-based Physical Therapy allows me to provide holistic, high-quality, one-on-one care without the restrictions of insurance reimbursement. Unlike many traditional clinics that double-book or shorten sessions due to declining insurance rates, this model ensures you receive undivided attention and care tailored to your goals. Less than 10% of Physical Therapists hold a board specialty. Less than 1% of Physical Therapists are fellowship trained. If you have ever experienced Physical Therapy in a clinic before then try it once and you will see the difference.
Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment?
For Physical Therapy services, I can treat you for the first 10 visits or 30 days following your evaluation, whichever comes first, without a referral. After that, you will need a referral from a medical provider to continue treatment. If your visit is categorized as a “wellness” visit, no prescription is required. If you aren't sure if you're seeking skilled physical therapy or wellness services, contact me.
Do I need to do anything before my session?
Once we schedule your first visit, you will receive forms to complete prior to your appointment via email. If you prefer, these forms can also be completed in person at the start of your session.
What can I expect during my first appointment?
The goal of our first appointment is to learn about your goals and priorities, and complete a comprehensive evaluation. I’ll review your history, perform a comprehensive examination, and design a personalized treatment plan together.
How many sessions will I need?
The frequency and duration of sessions will depend on your condition and goals. We will discuss this at your evaluation.
How long is each therapy session?
Each visit is one hour of one-on-one care.
Will my insurance cover therapy?
Rusch Physical Therapy is an out-of-network, cash-based mobile clinic. You may request a superbill to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm out-of-network benefits.
Do you accept Medicare?
I am a Non-Enrolled Medicare Provider. I provide services that are not covered by Medicare and collect payment directly from the patient. As a non-enrolled provider, I cannot submit claims to Medicare for covered services on your behalf.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please provide 24 hours notice for cancellations. If I am en route or have arrived onsite, payment must be provided in full. Exceptions to this policy can be made on a case by case basis only.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept cash, Zelle, Venmo, and checks. Payment is due at the time of service.
Redefining Orthopaedic Care at Home
Rusch Physical Therapy brings fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopaedic care directly to active individuals who value their time and health. By eliminating the clinic wait room and commute, I focus every minute on what matters most—your movement, performance, and long-term resilience.
Practicing Physical Therapy since 2012, I combine clinical and academic experience to deliver evidence-informed sports medicine, manual therapy and exercise with clear education. I will help you understand the ‘why’ behind every exercise and treatment choice.
Whether you’re rehabbing a sports injury, managing a lingering orthopaedic condition, or trying to stay ahead of future issues, my goal is to meet you where you are—literally and clinically—and guide you back to the activities you love with confidence.
